Illegal Immigration And Border Security
On Friday, Donald Trump signed an executive order to bar citizens of Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen from arriving to the United States. This included all citizens, regardless of their religion.
Thousands of protestors actively criticized the event by storming the White House and various airports across the country. In addition, Hillary Clinton also publicly announced “This is not who we are,” presumably referring to “We” as Americans.
Trump stood strong against the media who are referring to this as a “Muslim ban.”
Proud Nation Of “Legal Immigrants”
Donald Trump revealed, “America is a proud nation of immigrants and we will continue to show compassion to those fleeing oppression, but we will do so while protecting our own citizens and border.”
The President also said, “America has always been the land of the free and home of the brave. We will keep it free and keep it safe, as the media knows, but refuses to say,” in regards to the fake news.
Bill Clinton has spoken on this before and Obama banned visas for Iraq refugees, but Donald Trump is, of course, the one to be labeled a racist.
Bill Clinton On Illegal Immigration
Bill Clinton spoke about illegal immigration during his presidency back in 1995. He addressed the problem as a neglect to “stiffen the protection of our borders.” He then proposed to “increase border patrols by 50 percent…”
“We are increasing the inspections of those who hire illegal immigrants and tonight I announce I will sign an executive order to deny federal contracts to businesses who hire illegal immigrants…” Clinton then goes on to say how we should honor legal immigrants but avoid hiring illegal aliens.
Similarly, Donald Trump is merely trying to protect our borders. As the Mexican wall is being constructed, it’s now time to protect the air and sea. “My first priority will always be to protect and serve our country, but as President I will find ways to help all those who are suffering,” said Trump.
Trump believes in focusing on “ISIS, illegal immigration and border security” above all else. Will you continue to stand behind President Donald Trump’s efforts?
